Curatorial note
An exceptional carpet from the Ait Jaacob tribe, structured as a garden of compartments on a deep burgundy-plum ground. Each square section contains a distinct geometric flower or star — no two identical — drawn from the full symbolic repertoire of the tribe. A central elongated medallion anchors the composition. A visual diary of Amazigh tribal memory, woven one motif at a time from live-sheep wool and natural dyes. Vintage and one of a kind.
