Curatorial note
A long and visually hypnotic runner from the Ait Isaac tribe, woven on a deep crimson-madder ground and entirely covered in a repeating pattern of stylised cedar tree motifs in ivory and charcoal. The trees rise in tight rows across the full field — an ancient motif in Atlas weaving representing the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, and the Amazigh ideas of growth, protection, and continuity. A bottom chevron band closes the composition with bold geometric energy. One of the most distinctive pieces in the collection. Vintage and one of a kind.
