Curatorial note

A dazzling Zemmour patchwork kilim runner in which every square centimetre carries a different geometric vocabulary. The composition is organised as an irregular grid of autonomous panels — each a miniature flatweave in its own right — combining cobalt blue, deep crimson, olive green, burnt orange, ivory and plum in a sequence of chevron fields, checked grids, diagonal diamond lattices, striped registers and scattered star motifs. A saffron-yellow selvedge line frames the full length. The visual energy is relentless and joyful. An exceptional example of the Zemmour patchwork runner tradition. Vintage and one of a kind.
