Rabat Cobalt Blue Flatweave Runner

A striking Rabat flatweave runner on a saturated cobalt-blue ground, entirely covered in a dense all-over pattern of repeating micro-motifs — elongated rectangular chain links, small eight-pointed stars, cross forms and diamond accents — rendered in ivory, charcoal, rust and amber. The horizontal rows of motifs are separated by fine black register lines, giving the surface the visual precision of embroidery. A narrow multi-colour guard border in black, white, rust and amber frames all four sides. The flatness of the weave and the depth of the indigo blue give this runner an almost textile-art quality. Vintage and one of a kind.
